Logan participated in his 2nd youth race of the year. The venue was Camp Carolina in Brevard, NC. The trails are in great shape and the organization was perfect.
Logan now is trying to talk his grandparents into funding his enrollment here next summer because he knows his parents can't afford it.
He said there is no strategy this time and I quote, "I don't listen to my body Dad, I just pedal".
He got the hole shot and was first in the woods.
He was also first out of the woods by a good minute or more and just kept it on through out the race.
They did start the 7-8s half way into his first lap, so he had a lot of lap traffic to contend with. He said he even helped one 7 year old get back on their bike and got stuck behind another the whole time in the woods on lap 3.
The really little ones lining up to race.
1st Place in a field of 15 or so, and he won by a good 2.5 minutes. He really makes it look easy.
This time I only coached him on podium presentation. Last time he was looking down, this time much better.
Logan and I got to spend the whole day in Brevard and even met up with some trouble makers at the Hub. We later stopped by the pump track in TR to check out Jonathan's hard work. We finally got home last night around 9pm, completely worn out from our adventures. Good stuff. Good Day! I look forward to many more of these in the future.
