It's Official

PMBAR results are out. This is team "Trippin on Lactic Acid's" 6th straight PMBAR with no DNF. This year we made a few more mistakes than normal, but the ride was excellent none the less.

Finish history is

2006: ? I just remember that one hurt a lot.

2007: 32nd I think that is the year I almost died of Hypothermia.

2008: 17th Sounds like it was a good year.

2009: 17th Another good year.

2010: 19th Last year hurt, but still very satisfactory especially considering Yohan had a broken ankle.

2011: 62th Wow, what happened? Tokens, routes, lack of motivation.

We discovered our token penalty at Turkey Pen and Black. At that point we decided to just finish the race and enjoy the day. And that is exactly what we did. Our trail selection was great for a fine day in Pisgah. Ripped up Turkey, Dropped lower Trace, Up Laurel, Down Pilot (cleaned more than ever), and why not go over the top of Black instead of Clawhammer and Maxwell. Sure it added some time, but tearing down Black was well worth it.

So in conclusion, it may have been our worst finishes to date, but one of my favorite rides ever in Pisgah. And Eric brought back the pint glasses!!! A fine day indeed.
