Commitment

Commitment is something that I am very familiar with considering that I have been married for over a decade, have three children, and worked for the same company ever since I graduated college. However, I have been inspired by none other than Mr. Harrell himself.

Reportedly he has been on a streak of 156 days of riding straight. My hats are off to you, and I do not think that I am that committed yet. But, I am going to commit to 100 days of riding or running without any time off and see where it goes from there.
Do not confuse this with training. Everyone knows that is a dirty word, and I do not want to be affiliated with any training. This is just a commitment, a challenge, and now that I have spoken these words, I would be letting myself down if I did not make it so.
Rules are simple. Ride for a minimum of 1 hour or run for a minimum of 30 minutes everyday. This sounds easy, but with my schedule rest assured that some days I will only be able to squeeze 30 minutes out of a day for myself. Of course there will be long days or riding mixed into every week, but that is all I was getting. No more 3 rides a week, 4 if I a lucky.
So far my streak is at 3 days. I started on Jan. 25. 100 days from now will be May 4, 3 days after PMBAR.
Between now and then, I hope to squeeze in 6 hours of Warrior and maybe Cohutta, the single track version.
Here we go!

Hmmmmmmmm, sounds kind of like over doing it but what do I know. Are you suppossed to rest as hard as you train? So will you sit for 100 days after this? Good luck. I read an article recently that was do a push up on Jan 1. 2 on Jan 2cn all the way to 365 on the last day of the year. Try that one on for size.
