Cycling is so much more enjoyable when you are in shape!
Almost 7 months into the year, I can finally say that I feel like I am in cycling shape. I am sure that means different things to different people. For me, it means that I can ride the road bike for 2 hours at an average of 20mph solo, or get on the mountain bike and ride knowing there are a few hammers in my pocket. This year has been a good year to date, but I never have felt strong. It felt like I was going out 100% the whole time or riding easy for recovery. As of late I have noticed a familiar, but uncommon feeling that I can turn up the screws, recover, and turn them up again, recover, turn it up and repeat. And that my friend is a good feeling.
Now what to do with this so called fitness?
I need an event to focus on or I will definitely let this fade away. Maybe ORAMM, or SM100. I know that I am doing the Double Dare, but it is just too far away to get me motivated.
Has anyone got something planned? I may even just do a sprint race.
Enjoy the Experience.
